What’s Next for HSBC Canada Customers?

Rest assured, most changes happening during the transition will be seamless and automatic. You can continue to bank as usual while keeping an eye out for the ‘Welcome to RBC’ product and services guide in your mailbox. This handy guide contains valuable reference information and links to help you through the transition.

Personal Banking

Changes in Store: RBC will match you with suitable bank accounts based on your current HSBC accounts and will mail new RBC debit cards. Expect these cards to arrive by the end of February 2024, ensuring uninterrupted banking.

Next Steps: Use your HSBC card until the transition is complete, then activate your new RBC card or client number for seamless access to your RBC accounts. Don’t worry – your historical account information will migrate to RBC, and you can also download it from HSBC for safekeeping.

Credit Cards

Upcoming Changes: RBC will provide you with RBC credit cards based on your current HSBC cards, arriving by the end of March 2024. Your credit limits and balances will stay the same, with any insurance coverages and services being replaced by RBC’s offerings.
