Exciting news in the world of ecommerce! The Polish ecommerce platform Saleor has just secured a hefty 8 million dollar funding round, with ecommerce giant Zalando as one of the investors. This injection of capital is set to drive further growth for the company.
Founded in 2020, Saleor is an open-source ecommerce software platform that has been making waves in the industry. After a successful seed round in 2021, which raised 2.3 million euros, Saleor used the funds to develop its SaaS cloud offering. This led to well-known brands such as Lush and Breitling adopting the software platform.
‘We will further establish Saleor’
With the new seed extension round, Saleor aims to expand its agency program and strengthen its core product. CEO Mirek Mencel expressed the company’s ambition to establish Saleor even further and help developers deliver business value more quickly and reliably than ever before.
ZEOS combined with Saleor
Notably, Zalando, one of the investors in this funding round, has recently launched ZEOS (Zalando E-commerce Operating System). This platform enables third-party sellers to efficiently manage their multi-channel businesses across Europe from a single, integrated platform.
‘We see a great fit with Saleor’s vision, offering and expertise.’
Jan Bartels, SVP B2B at Zalando, highlighted the synergy between ZEOS and Saleor, emphasizing the potential for collaboration to further expand capabilities for multi-channel sales.
