Exciting news! Shopify has just released its Winter ’24 Edition, packed with over 100 new updates to its ecommerce platform. This edition is focused on making international selling smoother than ever before. One of the key highlights is the ability for merchants to launch a localized online store for up to 3 different markets.

What’s new?

Shopify releases an edition of updates twice a year, compiling all the new features and enhancements from the past six months. Some of the latest additions include improved product merchandising tools such as color swatches and a convenient file picker for accessing all media files on Shopify.

Additionally, following last year’s price increases for subscription plans, all plans have now been enriched with brand new features in line with the latest updates.

Localized online stores

Merchants now have the ability to create tailored online stores for specific markets, with the option to customize and cater to the unique needs of each market. According to Shopify, this personalized approach can lead to higher conversion rates, making cross-border selling a breeze for merchants.

‘You can account for regional and cultural differences per market.’

The localized stores come with customized storefronts and layouts to accommodate regional and cultural variations. Other features include currency conversion, market-specific pricing, content translation, and the integration of local payment methods.

Up to 3 markets

This exciting feature is available across all pricing plans, allowing merchants to create 3 localized stores. For those on the Advanced plan, the option to add additional markets is available for just under 60 euros per market, opening up even more opportunities for global expansion.
